“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will.“ Romans 12:2 (NIV)

Where do we come from?
Where are we going?
What should we do?
How do we know these things?

All people hold some answers to life’s big questions, whether knowingly or not. Ideas have consequences, and the answers that people hold shape the way in which they live their lives. In the School of Biblical Christian Worldview we take a look at some of the answers that are out there, what the Bible says, and how we can respond. Our goal for the school is to bring people one step closer to understanding their individual roles and the role of the church at large in discipling the nations. We want to provide students with tools to seek out and become responsible leaders where God has called them, building the Kingdom of God in all areas of society and being messengers of hope in today’s world.

In the SBCW we learn to analyze ideas and beliefs that have shaped our thinking, growing in understanding our times and how we have come here as we continue to be challenged by the truth and transformed by the renewing of our minds. The teaching includes topics such as contemporary times, history of thought, view of man, ethics, understanding & comparing worldviews, science & faith etc.

The SBCW isn’t only about information but about lifestyle; not only about what to think but about how to think. This requires repetition and shaping of new habits where the renewal of our minds is a continuous, active process that does not end when the school does. Throughout the school we regularly practice analyzing media in order to develop discernment when reading, watching, listening and being in conversation with people. We want to be able to test and approve what God’s good, pleasing and perfect will is and see it be done and His Kingdom come among us.

This course meets the Applied Christian Thinking core curriculum requirement of the University of the Nations.

There is an optional 6-week SBCW outreach to the Dominican Republic planned for after the lecture phase.
