26/02-2010 | Visiting families
This day was a day of splitting into groups. In the morning Olya, Sergey, Daniil and Nastya went to one gipsy family. The rest of the team (sorry, almost the rest – just Katya and Andy) went to the store because our food resources were again on zero.
The guys who went to the family told us how they were there: the family really needed prayer support and they had a lot of prayer needs. And in general, what we have already noticed, that when we come to gipsy families, they always start conversation about God and finish with the same. We don’t speak about general things but they seem to be quite thirsty to talk about God and His will. So it was the same today – after they came to the family, they immediately started a conversation about God and during the conversation the hosts told about their problems, their needs, asked Sergey and Olya for advice about family life and support in the family.
In the evening we again were in two groups but already different: Katya, Nastya, Andy and Tito and the second group: Sergey, David, Olya and Daniil. Andy and Tito had a possibility to play football outside with teenagers; the teens were waiting for our guys. Katya and Nastya were talking to people inside the house, playing with kids, listening to the prayer requests. When the guys came back from the football, we started praying. We also watched one video with the family, getting acquainted with their culture.
The second group went to a family where the parents have 8 kids. It was one of the hardest visits – the family with many problems and not so open people, who anyway love God and were glad to see the part of our team. God was always near and let them know what was going on in the family and what was not seen during the visit and gave passages from the Bible to pray according to.
