07/03-2010 | Good-bye day

06.03.2010 Saturday. Flexible to change plans.

Today we planned to play volleyball and football with Christian/Non-Christian teenagers but as always we depended on weather. The weather was bad so Niki called us and cancelled the training. So it turned out that we had nothing to do. We were enjoying Bible study when Niki called one more time and said that one family was eager to have us as guests. Actually, it was that family where we should have gone the day before but the husband was on the north of Bulgaria and did not have time to come back in time. So in couple hours Katya, Andy, Nastya, Tito and David were on the way to that family. Olya and Sergey left at home because small Daniil did not feel well and there were things to be done in the church. The visit of the family was quite good, the group was sharing things they got from the Bible with family. Team time – good time!

In the evening we finally decided to have some time together in the restaurant. We went there and ordered some interesting food and tried some new dishes for us. Because desert in that restaurant was quite poor, we changed the place for the other café and went to Sladkarnitsa, where we could have good desert with cheaper prices. It was a good time together!

07.03.2010 Sunday. Good-bye day.

Sunday was an interesting and at the same time sad day. We were saying good-byes to many people that became to be quite close to our hearts already.

In the morning we had a meeting at Pentecostal church. We showed them our Mask-drama, than Olya had a sermon, after we were saying good-bye and thank words to the people in the church. We thanked them for the hospitability and having possibilities to be with them, serve them, preach and worship with them. In the end all the church prayed for us.

In the evening we had another meeting – in gypsy church. It was very unusual meeting with a lot of games, tea and banitsa (traditional Bulgarian meal that teenager girls prepared for that evening with no help of adults). We were taking a lot of photos with all gypsy people there, gypsy kids were dancing for us, the church also prepared presents for every of us!

How pleasant it was!

We also prepared a big A2 format paper with Bulgarian text from the Bible and our wishes to them as church among plenty of photos of all of us together with gypsy Christians! They were so amazed to see that big sheet with interesting photos for them. We wanted to leave some things to remember, the photos and wishes are the best because many people can see them and read them and be encouraged.
